Welcome to another CTECLC update. We hope you had a wonderful Easter and that you had time to reconnect with friends and family members you don’t see regularly.
Scholastic orders are due on April 28th. If you haven’t yet turned in your order you still have time to get it in to Mrs. Vicki. One reason why reading is good for your child and for you is that it builds a stronger relationship.
We are in need of volunteers to help us install our Garden on May 6th, starting at 9 am. Mrs. Vicki and Ms. Shelley would appreciate any help provided. Even if you are only able to come for an hour.
Our next Staff Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 17th. Future meetings will be scheduled the 2nd Wednesday of every month till the end of the summer.
For your convenience here is a list of CTECLC’s upcoming closings:
- July 4th (Independence Day)
- May 26th (Professional Day)
- May 29th (Memorial Day)
Pre-K Graduation has been scheduled for June 16th at 1pm. CTECLC will provide the gowns, however, there will be a fee of $6 due May 19th for caps and tassels.
Camp Calvary begins June 19th! This year campers 6-12 years old will be partying across the USA! Your child is not yet 6? Don’t worry, we spread the camp activities on a smaller scale throughout the learning center so even if your child is not yet 6, he or she will still enjoy some of the summer camp experience!
So what is faith?
We roll out of bed every morning and quickly start moving our legs expecting them to carry us. That’s faith.
We sit on a chair because we believed our parents or older siblings when they told it was made to hold our weight. That’s faith.
I could go on and on with more examples but I’m sure you get the drift by now. If we can believe in the strength of our limbs to carry us or the strength of a chair to hold us up when we’re tired or working, how much harder is it to believe in God, the One who created us and the chair and ensures that we both work?
