Beginners Room

Ages 2 – 3 years old

  • Beginners room consists of one Assistant Group Supervisor and one Aide
  • Staff will work with your child on developing language comprehension
  • Teachings of morals, manners and respect for themselves and their surroundings
  • Beginning to learn the alphabet. One letter every 2 weeks will be taught with corresponding pictures
  • Students will be able to count to 10. One number every 2 weeks will be taught.
  • Fine motor skills are enriched in this class. Hand and eye as well as foot and eye coordination are practiced here.
  • Art projects will focus appropriately upon the lessons being taught that particular day
  • Children will be given one hour of physical activity a day. This includes outdoor play (weather permitting) or indoor gymnasium play.
  • Potty training

06:30am – 08:30am – Children arrive at the center and engage in free play/Potty time
08:30am – 09:00am – Breakfast
09:00 am – 09:30am – Free Play/Potty Time
09:30am – 10:00 – Circle time
10:00am – 10:15 – Craft Time
10:15am – 11:00am – Playground
11:00am – 11:30 am – Potty Time/Clean Up
11:30pm – 12:00pm – Lunch
12:00pm – 12:15pm – Potty Time
12:15pm – 02:45pm – Quiet/Nap time
02:45pm – 03:00pm – Potty Time
03:00pm – 03:30pm – Snack Time
03:30pm – 06:30pm – Free play/Children leave the center

*Your child will eat breakfast and PM snack provided by the center. All you have to do is bring a lunch.  You can bring anything that needs refrigeration or that can be microwaved in 30 seconds or less.

Children can be enrolled in either part-time (4 days or less) or full-time (5 days) in this program. 

What to supply for your child:

  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • At least two changes of clothes
  • Change of shoes
  • Crib size sheet (for rest cot)
  • Blankets
  • Sippy cups
  • Lunch
